Tezpur College solemnly observed the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on 26/06/2025; with a program aimed at fostering awareness and collective responsibility. The event commenced with an inaugural address by Mr. Karan Thapa, Assistant Professor, Department of Geography, who set the tone for the proceedings.
An impactful awareness talk was delivered by Principal Dr. Manoj Kumar Hazarika, emphasizing the role of educational institutions in combating substance abuse. The keynote address was presented by Dr. Himangshu Hazarika, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Mathematics, who highlighted the importance of community engagement in curbing the menace.
Mr. Dipankar Borah, Assistant Professor in the Department of Education, delivered the vote of thanks, acknowledging the speakers and participants for their contributions. The program concluded with a pledge by all attendees, reaffirming their commitment to a drug-free society.
