International Women's Day 2025 organised by Women Cell of Tezpur College in collaboration with IQAC Tezpur College.

On March 8, 2025, International Women's Day was celebrated at Tezpur College under the initiative of the College Women’s Cell and in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell. The program began with the lighting of the lamp, inaugurated by the college principal, Dr. Manoj Kumar Hazarika, who was assisted by the vice-principal, Rita Saikia Dutta; the president of the Women’s Cell, Dr. Geeta Rani Das; invited guests Pallabi Bhuyan and Amrita Madhuri Devi. After the lamp lighting ceremony, the college faculty performed the college anthem. The secretary of the College Women’s Cell, Dr. Trishna Rani Dekha, delivered a welcome address to greet everyone present at the program.

The college faculty, Dr. Rakhi Saikia, showcased a documentary reflecting the journey of Women's Day from its inception to its present day. The principal, Dr. Manoj Kumar Hazarika, delivered a meaningful speech on the significance of International Women's Day. Invited guest Amrita Madhuri Devi, known as a small entrepreneur and a self-reliant woman, delivered an encouraging speech aimed at the students. Another guest and self-reliant woman, Pallabi Bhuyan, highlighted the topics of imports and exports in her insightful speech. The college librarian, Dr. Mitali Goswami, read out the honor certificate and recited a self-composed poem.

From the students’ side, Urmila Dang performed a song, while Tamanna Nawar, Prachurya Rani Devi, and NCC cadets performed dances. At the end of the program, the concluding ceremony involved presenting tokens of appreciation, by Dr. Chayanika Bhuyan and then Dr. Debahuti Baruah showcasing a documentary titled "Hargila Army," about self-reliant woman Purnima Devi.
